She arrived at home improvement through an interest in making her home more sustainable. Rather than buying new items, Lisa likes to purchase furniture and decorations from thrift shops and give them a new lease of life.

Without the internet, Lisa would never have discovered upcycling. She used wisdom from other people’s blogs to begin her upcycling journey, then she started writing her own!

What excites Lisa about writing for this site is that she’s able to encourage other women to enter the world of home improvement.

Alongside her two children, Lisa has three dogs living with her and her husband in Jackson, Mississippi. She spends her weekends with them, hunting for treasure in local second-hand stores.
